That’s what students at Brooke School, Rugby, were doing at our employability workshops delivered in the school in mid-June. Local employers were involved to provide advice on how to apply for jobs and prepare for interviews.
The workshops covered a wide range of topics including:
· Understanding why work is so important and the benefits of working in the future.
· Enhancing verbal and non-verbal communication and listening skills.
· Working well a team.
· Developing self-confidence.
The 26 students were then interviewed by employers who provided feedback for the young people and their teachers. Everyone enjoyed the experience as this feedback from an employer and student show:
" I thoroughly enjoyed it, such remarkable young people, I was pleased to be part of it".

" That was the best time ever!"
